Fresh Brewed Sundays {Protection & Joy}

(photo source)

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.  (Psalm 5:11)

When we make the Lord our refuge, He promises to fill us with Joy.  A refuge is a hiding place, a shelter, a place of safety.  When we tuck ourselves away under the Shadow of the Almighty, no harm will come to us.  And there, in that place of safety, He promises to fill us with joy.  Only in His presence is there fullness of joy.  My prayer is that I would lean in close, surrendering all, fully trusting Him so that His joy would fill me to overflowing.

I would love for you to join me for Fresh Brewed Sundays.  This is where we share a scripture with just simple insight.  No heavy words necessary.  Feel free to use the button in your post and link up below!
