Welcome! {Ultimate Blog Party 2013}

Ultimate Blog Party 2013

Welcome!  If this is your first visit to my blog, I am so glad that you are here!  I’ve prepared a freshly brewed pot of coffee just for you and a plate full of chocolates for your delight.  I hope you will stay for a bit!

Allow me to introduce myself.

I am a full-time working, part-time homeschooling mom of four children, ages 22, 19, 12 and 10.  I am privileged to serve my church family as I support the Lead Pastor and Children’s Pastor at my house of prayer, where I also serve as a prayer leader and singer.  All of my children are involved in the house of prayer, leading worship, singing and or praying.  I am a blessed mom!  My oldest daughter just got married last June!

My children, and my new son-in-love!

A little bit about the blog!

I began blogging in July of 2008, nearly five years ago!  I blog mostly about faith issues, sharing my heart with you about what I am learning on my own walk with the Lord.  My prayer is that this blog would encourage you along life’s path.  I believe that each day is a freshly brewed gift from the Lord and that He has hidden treasures for us to find!  I trust that as I share my life with you, you will find rest and peace in knowing that a loving God holds you in the palm of His hand. He adores you!  Some of my passions are: Worship, the Prayer Room, Coffee, reading, writing, painting and spending time with family and friends.

Here are a few of my favorite posts on the blog.  I hope that they will encourage your heart.

When You Feel Weak And Vulnerable

Yearning To Be More

Thank you again for stopping by, and I hope that you will visit again soon.  If you want to follow me along on my journey, all of the ways to follow are up at the top of my blog.  If you have a blog, please link it in your comments so that I can visit you!

Blessings!

Hi Barbie, I’m actually a friend of Janet’s (frugal and focused) who I see just posted above. :) Small world, I know if she loves you, I will too. Can’t wait to read more of your blog!

    Hi Barbie,

It’s so nice to “meet” you on your blog. You are one of the long-time bloggers, it’s nice to see that, so many seem to stop. Your church sounds amazing, and your kids sound like blessings.
I’m not into coffee so much, though I am trying to drink it to help with attention problems…but you had me at chocolate!!

much grace and peace to you this week :)

Hi Jenn. Thanks for stopping by. I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but it disappeared. Your life sounds fascinating and your kids are beautiful, and so talented. I am following you along now. I need all the help I can get in the homeschooling department!

Hi Barbie..I just wanted to comment on the sweet picture of your family. Cute kids! And your daughter was a beautiful bride! I also know you will love having a son-in-love…we enjoy ours so very much. (I know Kyle wasn’t there a lot while you were there visiting Lynnette…but did you get to enjoy some of his humor? He makes me laugh until I cry sometimes…and I just love him to pieces!!!)

    Enjoy your blog party!

Thank you Linda! Your grandkids are wonderful people. I got a kick out of Harrison and his coffee drinking. I love having a son-in-love. He’s truly a God send. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to hang out with Kyle too much. He turned in early in the evenings, but I can see he is a very sincere, humble and funny guy. I will be back for a visit. I told Lynnette once a year! Blessings!

Tears….ok waterworks that you are taking this step on something I know you have wanted to do for so very long and I know you will make such an impact and they will also make such an impact on you as well! I am so thrilled you took the step, you jumped on it, the hubs gave you the nod and you will be on your way spreading his word and helping others and that thrills me. I would love to do missionary trip one day, as for now my health and the fact I couldn’t leave Kelcee a minute lol wont allow it but hey in ten years it maybe an option for me! I love that you are doing this and I am thrilled and so very proud of you! Summer

Awe Summer, you are the best. God will open doors for you, for those things that are in your heart. It’s all in His timing. Hugs!

Good morning! Thanks for the sweets. It is such a treat to find a fellow mom with older kids blogging. Mine are 21, 20 and 16. Sometimes it can get lonely out here. I wish more mom’s with older kids had the time and energy to stay connected because we sure need each other. I look forward to reading more. I have a friend who lives life with a side of coffee, I plan on sending her your way! Amy

Amy, I am so thankful for your visit. Yes, us “older” moms can get lost in a sea of diapering, toddling mamas, but I believe we have a purpose to help encourage those with the little ones. I look forward to visiting your blog and following you along in your journey! Blessings!

Thank you Susie. I have enjoyed reading your blog for some time now. Have a fun time meeting new bloggers!

Hi! I thought I’d stop in and show a little love by dropping a comment. I’m surfing on over from the UBP! I’ve recently fallen back in love with going to church and I couldn’t be happier. Life is good and I love being a part of my children getting to know God. I hope you’ll stop by and say hello, too.
