90 Days with Jesus

On January 1st, I began a journey with Jesus, based on Beth Moore’s Jesus – 90 Days with the One and Only.  I’ve really been looking forward to this study since a friend blessed me with it at Christmas.  She, our Children’s Director, as well as myself, our Nursery Director and Preschool Director are all walking this journey together.

I thought I would blog my insights and reflections here.  This way, everyone participating will have a place to come and interact through comments (as only one of them blogs), and it also gives you a chance to interact as well.  I was hoping to blog just on Wednesdays, but that would mean beginning next week, I would need to try to fit 7 days worth of study into one post.  So, I have decided that I will be sharing my insights with you both on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  I promise not to overwhelm you!  I hope you will hang in there with me.  I would love to know your thoughts.

Below, you will find all of the posts in this series.

Days 1-3 {The birth of Jesus}
Days 4-6 {Mary’s Song}
Days 7-9 {Circumcision, redemption and purification}
Days 10-12 {Growing in Wisdom, Stature and Favor}
Days 13-15 {Baptized into new life}

    God’s ways are incredible…have known that but reading the greetings and news brought by Gabriel to Mary really overwhelmed me this time. I have read this verse so many times, but this is the fist time ever that I saw this verse in a new light.
    Greetings, you who are HIGHLY FAVORED. …………”YOU WILL CONCEIVE AND GIVE BIRTH TO A SON”.   WOW!!!!!!!!!!! Highly favored but hey you are going to be pregnant before marriage……what contradiction….a human mind cannot fathom this. But God had plannned out everything….preparing Mary’s fiance’s heart and mind etc. when her heart was willing to accept
    God’s will.

      I too am behooved by Mary and Joseph’s responses. I feel like my faith is so weak when I hear this. It goes to show God’s “qualifications” are not the same as “Man’s”. I want to see like God sees.

    Chapter 3 – Awesome revelation!! God not comforts us supernaturally but sees our need to have a human shoulder to lean on, be understood and comforted and therefore gives us that one person who comforts us like Mary and Elizabeth being there for each other. Thank You Lord for taking everything into consideration

    Chapter 4 – Pg. 21.
    Mary reminds me of David, who said,” Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?”. I have been thinking in this line myself recently and cannot but marvel and be grateful  to our Lord for doing exactly what this verse says in my life. -Nesa NNesmy life.
