The Weekend Brew: He Restores Me To Life

I came across this scripture in my reading yesterday.  Wow, what a promise!

Do you ever have days when you feel as if the life has been sucked right out of you?  I do.

God never promised that we wouldn’t have hard times.  But He does promise that He will be with us through it all.

I have to admit that it’s hard to keep my head above water some days, when it all comes crashing down. Sometimes I feel like a failure as I focus way too much on my circumstances, wondering where God is in the middle of it all.  But He’s right there, beside me, in the thick of it.  He’s never left me.  And He never will.

God promises to give us abundant life.  And when you feel as if you’ve had the life sucked right out of you, He promises that He will restore you to life, and lift you up once again.

Hang in there friend.  It will get better.  I promise!

The Weekend Brew: A Light Unto My Path

A lamp to my feet.

I may not always know where I am going.  But when I am rooted and grounded in the Word of God, and diligently seeking after His will for my life, He promises to guide my every step. He keeps my feet from stumbling, and steers me away from the path of danger. It’s comforting to know that He has gone before me and prepared a safe passage.

A light to my path.

His light shines brightly before me, so that I can see the way to go.  I may not always know where I am to end up, but I trust that God will guide me by His light and the truth of His Word.  When I hide His Word in my heart, and lean on it as my guide, my eyes will be open to the right path, as well as those the enemies sets up to distract me and keep me from His presence.

I am so thankful for the light of God, for His Word, which shows me the way to go.  He is always faithful to lead me and to guide me, because I have put my trust in Him.

How have you been guided along life’s path recently by His light?  I would love for you to share in the comments!

Winsome Wednesday: {Eternal Life}

It is the desire of every human being to be known.  I want nothing more than to make His name known, and in return I will be known for my wholehearted devotion and relentless pursuit of Christ.

This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

A world without Christ is a lost world.  I want to be His hands and feet, to go and proclaim the Good News of the Gospel to all who cross my path.  This is how I must be known.  I desire to know Him, and be known by Him, and in return draw others unto Him.
